Re: Like to see more of this:
Sat, January 6, 2007 - 1:27 PMI just think it's great the Suns are streaking and the Lakers are only 2.5 games behind them. Of course they'd be head and shoulders above the teams in the East... -

Re: Like to see more of this:
Sat, January 6, 2007 - 8:45 PMthere are a lot of bad basketball teams out there, no doubt
too bad it's not like european football where teams can drop or go up a classification based on how good they are

Re: Like to see more of this:
Sun, January 7, 2007 - 1:18 PMThis would be a great season to consider seeding teams with the best records like in the NCAA....it's a shame a team from the east that will most likely finish way under .500 will make into the playoffs when there are more deserving teams in the west... -

Sun, January 7, 2007 - 9:13 PMJust wait tell Lamar and Kwame are back! -

Re: Like to see more of this:
Mon, January 8, 2007 - 7:00 AMI found this on the Sporting News Board:
Since Lamar has been out, the Lakers overall record is 9-5 (.643). With Kwame Brown out, the Lakers are 3-0.
They are 5-4 on the road & 4-1 at home.
Their record against teams with winning records during this time is 6-3. They are 3-2 against teams with losing records.
When Lamar went out, the Lakers had the 5th best record in the NBA. Three weeks later, they STILL have the 5th best record in the NBA.
Want to hear another interesting tidbit? I know you do ....
The Lakers are currently 9-2 (.818) against the seven other teams in the top 8 in the Western Conference [DAL 1-1, PHO 1-0, UT 1-1, SA 1-0, HOU 2-0, MIN 2-0, DEN 1-0].
Additionally, they are probably the ONLY TEAM in the NBA that can boast wins against DAL, PHO, SA & UT. -

Re: Maybe Not Yet
Thu, January 11, 2007 - 11:20 AMA title is possible, but I think not yet. We are very young and inexperienced... as shown by the debacle against Houston the other night. At our best, we can beat anybody, the problem is: we can just as easily lose to anybody. Not consistent yet. -

Re: Maybe Not Yet
Fri, January 12, 2007 - 3:29 PMYeah although until they are eliminated from the playoffs I will believe they can win a title but I believed the same thing throught he Elden Campbell years. I think a few teams in the West would have to tank for us to win a title this year. But I can feel one building... -
