Jermaine O'Neal to Lakers deal in the works

Within the last week, the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Lakers have laid the groundwork for a trade that would certainly placate both sorrowful All-Stars. L.A. inquired about Jermaine O'Neal, a move designed to appease star Kobe Bryant, who is demanding the team upgrade its roster.
No specifics were delivered. No negotiating has been done. Still, Lamar Odom would have to be the principal of the package in order to adhere to NBA trade specifications. Surely Andrew Bynum must be included as well.

06/20Did videomakers blackmail Lakers?
According to Lakers spokesman John Black, the Lakers have been aware of the profane Kobe Bryant interview video for a few weeks. Black said the videomakers, who may not have known Bryant, approached the Lakers to try to sell the 24-second tape to keep it out of the media's hands. The videomakers are threatening to release the video this week. It may have been filmed in May. "It was sort of like blackmail," one Lakers source said
